I, a Pizza Enthusiast, Tried the New DiGiorno Wood Fired-Style Pies—Here’s My Honest Take
from the tastebuds of a pizza critic

As a New Jersey native who went to college in New York, I’ve been lucky enough to have consistent access to great pizza—a fact that’s unintentionally led me to become somewhat of a pizza snob. My favorite type of pizza, you ask? Crispy and airy crust, preferably wood-fired with a little char. So, when I found out about the newly released DiGiorno Wood Fired-Style Pizzas I could make from the comfort of home, I was skeptical, yet intrigued—and knew I had to try them for myself. Of course, the only appropriate way to eat a bunch of pizzas is with your friends, so some of my fellow New Jerseyans and I got together to test the flavors, including Premium Pepperoni, Supreme Speciale, Italian Meat Trio and Four Cheese. Below, some honest thoughts—with pictures.
The DL on DiGiorno’s New Wood Fired-Style Collection
DiGiorno delivered for anyone who’s ever craved a wood fired-style pie at home—no brick oven or flames required. These four new flavors promise a crispy-on-the-outside, pillowy-on-the-inside crust, with restaurant quality taste and premium ingredients to boot. Basically, all the things I look for in a pizza. But did these new flavors live up to their promise?
