The Brand-New Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson Set Pics That Just Shook My ’90s Soul
Joey and Pacey, back on screen

Be still, my teenage heart. Nineties "It" couple and Dawson's Creek stars Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are starring in a brand new project together and gifting us with the most feel-good set pics.
The pair are currently filming Happy Hours, a three-part romantic drama that Holmes is not only starring in but also writing and directing. Filming is currently underway in New York City, with an official release date still TBD.
Earlier this week, Holmes and Jackson were spotted shooting scenes outside a Brooklyn brownstone—and the internet promptly lost its collective mind. Between the candid laughs, the cozy outfits and the undeniable chemistry, the photos feel like a modern-day sequel to Dawson’s Creek (minus Dawson).
In one shot, Holmes is seen giggling at something Jackson said, dressed in a red sleeveless top, slouchy brown trousers and menswear-inspired loafers. Her hair is braided and effortless, giving total girl-next-door (or you know, across-the-creek) vibes. Jackson, meanwhile, looks equally at ease in a denim button-down, dark pants and gray sneakers, flashing that adorable Pacey Witter smile.
In another, the duo are laughing yet again with Holmes clearly amused by something Jackson has said.
So what is the movie actually about? Honestly…does it matter?
But fine, if you must know: Happy Hours follows two childhood sweethearts (played by Holmes and Jackson) who reconnect as adults and try to navigate love alongside the pressures of family, careers, and adulthood dreams.
The Happy Hours cast also includes: Jack Martin, Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow and Johnna Dias-Watson.
Even more swoon-worthy? More set pics from last week suggest the characters are very much loved-up—and possibly even co-parents (is that a Bugaboo stroller I see?). Fans are already all-in on the pairing, with many pointing out the uncanny resemblance to Joey and Pacey’s on-screen love story. (See what they mean here!)
But whether you're here for the plot or the nostalgia, one thing’s for sure: This is the reunion we didn’t know we needed.
