I'm an Entertainment Editor Who Guesses Every Movie Twist Correctly—Well, Except This One
I seriously missed the boat on this one

As an entertainment editor, one might say I watch too many movies (I would never say that, but one might). And, as a result, that annoying thing happens while I'm watching films where I almost always know how events are going to play out. "The neighbor is the killer." "She's secretly his sister." "He was dead the whole time." My partner hates it (I've stopped spoiling things for him, but I do announce "I know how it ends" about halfway through, and that's when I start to get death stares).
Recently, I took in a screening of the big new blockbuster hit Jurassic World: Rebirth. I saw the film in 3D, something you need not do (it added absolutely nothing). The movie is fun and action-packed. And while the plot is a bit far-fetched, I certainly didn't mind—it's a movie about dinosaurs after all. All in all, I liked it. That is, I liked it until I got to the end.
About 30 minutes into the film, I leaned over and (obnoxiously) whispered into my partner's ear, "I know how it ends." He angrily thrust the popcorn bucket my way and dove fist first into the pretzel bites. But, lo and behold, the ending arrived and I was...wrong?
